Anyway, today the team in charge of promoting the candidacy Madrid 2020 has published the official video of the candidacy. To be honest, I don’t like it. It doesn’t show a real image of the city, just the stereotypes we are used to see about Spain: flamenco, sevillanas, Spanish guitar, people dancing or just lying down under the sun doing nothing. Came on! I spent so much time trying to explain to my non-Spanish friends that my country is not just flamenco to find that now, the video used to promote the main city of Spain is all about flamenco. The worst thing of all is that flamenco is originally form the south of Spain, Andalucia, not from Madrid. So there is nothing less representative of Madrid than flamenco.
