A couple of weeks ago I was invited, as a Social Media Strategist of Hosteltur, to a blogtrip in Granada. The Patronato de Turismo de Granada organized this blogtrip to promote the region through social media. Under the hashtag #GRXperience, we tweeted, posted and shared content on the Internet related to the places we visited.

Granada is one of the most touristic cities in Spain, especially thanks to the Alhambra, an Arab palace and fortress complex considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. I have to admit that, in my opinion, Granada is one of the most beautiful cities not just in Spain, but in the whole world.

However, apart from the capital, the region of Granada has a huge variety of touristic attractions no one would miss. Thanks to the blogtrip #GRXperience, I had the oportunity to discover some of the most beautiful, suprising and charming places of Granada Province. These are the top 3 places I visited during the blogtrip #GRXperience.

Río Verde

This is an amazing place to practice canyoning. Located in Sierras de Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama Natural Park, Rio Verde is a green landscape where the river brings clear water and the sun is bright. A perfect place to relax, refresh yourself and practice water sports in the river.

Las Alpujarras

Las Alpujarras is a mountainous area in the south side of Sierra Nevada. An Arab past, a groupe of small villages located at an altitude of more than 2.000 m, and a charming atmosphere are some of the main characteristics of this particular place.

Gorafe Dessert

As a Spaniard, I was shocked to discover that, nowadays, there are real deserts in my country. Gorafe desert is close to Guadix and it has a megalitismo center, where you can understand the past of the province thanks to the investigations of the ancient stones found here. This a particular place, dry and vast, a surprise in the middle of high mountains and green valleys.
